Equipment type approval

WPC Office issues WPC (ETA) License for IT and Electronic products while fulfilling the needs of the wireless technology consumers. Wireless and Bluetooth IT and Electronic products that operate on unlicensed frequency bands and meet human safety requirements can only be sold in Indian market with WPC approval.

ETA: (Equipment Type approval certificate) GOI has exempted Licensing for the use low powered equipment in certain frequency bands especially 2.4 & 5 Ghz band including RFID & Bluetooth devices. This certificate can be applied only by an Indian applicant or agent/representatives of foreign manufacturers.

Documents Required For ETA

  1. Application in prescribed format for filing offline

  2. Application to be filed online via Saralsanchar portal.

  3. Authorization cum agreement between applicant & OEM

  4. Technical Brochure of product.

  5. RF Test Report from accreted lab.

  6. Accreditation Certificate of Lab.

  7. Government Processing fee receipt paid through Bharat Kosh portal. (INR 10,000/product).
